Heaven on Earth!

My most favourite prayer of all is the Lord's prayer. I learnt it when I was studying in a convent school. It has always remained with me. I would pray this frequently without fully understanding the meaning.

Despite the darkness, I'm reminded of the words of Jesus when asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].

So now when I pray the Lord's Prayer, I ask God by faith to fill me with His Holy Spirit. Jesus gladly embraced the cross which was the will of the Father to bring many sons and daughters into reconciliation. This was possible through His willful submission. And there on the cross in agony, Jesus said Father forgive them, a response of love from a Holy God towards sinful people. And before breathing his last breath, He said it is finished, marking the end of sin's tyranny over our lives. We see God triumph despite the gruesome death of an innocent lamb by defeating death and raising Christ.

Now through faith in His death and resurrection, we can die to our self and live for Him, gladly embracing His will in all things. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can put to death the deeds of our sinful nature.  He now gives us new desires to accomplish His purpose. He enables us to be a living sacrifice, where our bodies become His Holy habitation. We become His instruments of righteousness as He transforms us daily through our abiding and submission.

Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Praise be to God who gave His son to die for us to make us like Him. This transformation is possible when we submit to the authority of the scriptures by meditating on it. And by constant communion with God, who helps us in our weakness furthermore by trusting Him that He is Faithful to conform us to the image of Christ.

Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors. And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. From wander to wonder

What do you do? When you wander aimlessly  And the fire you once had was quenched You are misunderstood even by your own Rejected and cast away You feel lonely and isolated You  feel  you don't belong or can't connect And deep  inside  you feel empty and spent Tired yet going on from one day to the next  Your past mistakes haunt you  And an enemy that constantly attacks and doesn't back down And a world that constantly tempts you or makes you feel that you are not enough  And your thoughts that should be a friend but act like a foe instead  It haunts you with a past that makes you see the sins and a heart that's scarlet red Meet me "Great I am" in my wandering in this wilderness like you met Moses And transform my I am's Where mundane turns to musing And despair turns to delight  Where wander turns to wonder  Where wilderness turns to worship As you show me a bush burning and yet not consumed  Reminding me you have inter...

In to me, you see!

Before your father and mother conceived You  I conceived you You were with me in my heart, my very imagination and my mind I kissed you with my breath in your mother's womb I sealed you to be mine forever before the foundations of the earth  I marked you with the Spirit  You didn't choose me but I chose you to be mine forever Simply because I made you with love I am the very breath in your lungs  The blood that flows through your veins I have hemmed you and surrounded you within and everywhere with my love You cannot escape my presence I know your wanderings, and I know where you hide My love is present with you in the deepest pit of your despair and disappointment And I will not leave you there But I have raised you from the pit to the power of my faithful and steady love  To proclaim and touch people with compassion and grace As I touch you every day with my love to bring you life My words chiselling your flesh into submission to my loving authority to reflect...

The Design

I believe that there is a God who is good and He created us with purpose. He loved us so much that He was compelled by love to create children in His image who are good, filled with love and compassion. We were created for love and to go beyond our SELF. I am convinced of this, though I fail daily. When I was younger, someone very dear to me failed in a relationship and my little heart was broken. When I saw the person suffer the consequence I believed that they deserved it. As a kid I was unaware of my self righteousness. Time flew and when I grew up, I failed in a relationship. I was torn with condemnation, guilt, shame and judgement. This time I failed. I just couldn't take the weight of it and made a confession to a friend. I was so disappointed that I didn't see hope. My friend graciously explained that God is merciful. When you truly repent He forgives.  I have always believed in God. As a child I wrote letters to Him mainly out of frustration about my situatio...
